Kinder Quilt Planning

Here's my idea for a kinder quilt.

  • The 2 little characters will be printed out on fabric and appliqued on. (The child on the left has the kinder logo on his t-shirt)
  • Each balloon will contain a face of one of the children in the class.
Edit: Here's an example of a 'photoshopped' face which can then be cut out in a balloon shape.

  • All other fabrics will be plains.
What do you think? Any creative suggestions?
In particular, what can I add to the boring bottom-right corner?

Thanks for your help.

Andi :-)

This will be really cute! How about a cat and dog or a backpack?

It's not that imaginative but what about a sign post/arrow type thing with the preschool logo on it. There always a tree or ball or similar.
Its a cute idea.
A Mum at our kinder two years ago traced everyones hand and appliqued it on to a quilt with the kid's names on each hand. One of the little girls was blind and hers was done in a raised fabric so she could find it.
Can't wait to see how yours turns out.

What a great project. I think I made a field of flowers under the baloons, nice and lots of colours. Good luck!!!

I think it's an adorable idea! Maybe add a little puppy of kitten to the patch of grass under the balloons?
